Collision Repair & Insurance Claim Assistance in Los Angeles
A collision bends more than sheet metal — it disrupts your schedule, your finances, and your confidence. Donlyson Auto Concepts has spent two decades restoring vehicles and peace of mind for drivers across Los Angeles, from minor parking-lot scuffs to multi-panel impacts that require structural realignment.
As a California registered automotive repair dealer, we follow the state's written-estimate rules to the letter: you receive a detailed, itemized estimate before any work begins, you authorize every charge increase in writing, and you retain the right to inspect all replaced parts. You also have the right to choose your own repair shop regardless of which shop your insurer recommends — that choice is yours under California law.
Our collision team coordinates directly with your adjuster, supplements hidden damage as it's uncovered, and documents the repair with photos at every stage so you always know where your build stands. When you pick up your car, the only evidence of the accident should be the paperwork.
Our process
- 1
Written estimate & teardown
We disassemble the impact area, document all visible and hidden damage, and deliver an itemized written estimate listing every part and labor operation before any work begins.
- 2
Insurance coordination
We contact your insurer, submit the estimate, and handle supplements for damage discovered during teardown — so you're not caught between the shop and the adjuster.
- 3
Structural & body repair
Frame and unibody straightening on our laser-measured bench, followed by panel replacement, metal work, and corrosion protection.
- 4
Refinishing & reassembly
Computerized color match, climate-controlled booth application, wet-sand and polish, then full reassembly with panel-gap and alignment checks.
- 5
Quality control & delivery
A final inspection against pre-accident photos, a test drive when applicable, and a walk-through of the completed work before you drive away.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to use the shop my insurance company recommends?+
No. California law gives you the right to choose your own repair shop. Your insurer is obligated to pay for the reasonable cost of restoring your vehicle to pre-accident condition, regardless of which shop performs the work. We can help you assert that right.
Will I get a written estimate before work starts?+
Yes. Before any repairs begin, you receive a written estimate listing all parts and labor. No work is performed and no charge is made until you authorize it in writing. If teardown reveals additional damage, we contact you for written authorization before proceeding.
Can you help with my insurance claim?+
Yes. We coordinate directly with your adjuster, submit estimates and supplements, and handle the back-and-forth so you don't have to. We can also assist with towing arrangements and rental-car coordination.
Do you use original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts?+
We offer OEM parts as well as quality aftermarket alternatives, and we'll explain the difference in writing so you can make an informed choice. Your insurer's parts policy may apply; we'll advocate for the parts you want.
How long does collision repair take?+
Minor repairs can take a few days; complex structural work can take several weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline in your written estimate and update you as the build progresses. Supplemental damage can extend the timeline, and we'll notify you immediately if it does.
